Cellomics - Indo Japan Lab Inaugural Event

A new "CELLOMICS" laboratory (part of Indo-Japan MEXT Project) at Central Research Laboratory, KS Hegde Medical Academy with state-of-art facilities for invitro cell culture was inaugurated on 12th September 2022 by Shri. N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte DU. The project investigators from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan - Dr. Madhyastha Harishkumar, Sr. Assoc. Professor, Dept. of Applied Physiology; Prof. Dr. Hirotake Sawada, Dept. of Paediatrics; Dr. Takuji Hinoura, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Public Health and Dr. Muraoka Jyuunske, Dept. of OB&G and Professor & Chairman, Department of Public Health, University of Miyazaki Dr. Yoshiki Kuroda were present at the inaugural function. Prof (Dr) M Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) B Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor and Prof (Dr) M S Moodithaya, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Nitte DU were the guests.

The inaugural program was followed by guest lectures by Dr. Shipra Sonkusare on Environmental Toxins & Pregnancy; Dr. H Gangadhara Bhat and Dr. B Naveenchandra on Applications of Geo-information Technology in Public Health
